The shafts of these supports have tapered ends to simplify installation and are 3/8" in length, providing ample "bite" into the cabinet sides, while allowing the possibility of having shelves on opposite sides of a 3/4" center partition. Each bracket is 1/2" wide and projects into the cabinet a full 11/16", a very useful feature if your shelves are a bit undersized.
